The Datorama Partner Certification Program Overview
The Datorama Partner Certification program is 10-week training program enabling partners to become well-versed in the platform and implement it successfully. The certification program consists of three parts: Online training with 3-modules, a 4-day in-person Bootcamp, and a mock simulation doing a Datorama implementation.
Who Can Apply
The program is currently restricted to strategic partners only due to high demand. All strategic partners must apply to be considered for the Datorama Partner Certification program. We also recommend referring to the FAQs tab under “How do I become a Datorama certified partner?” for more details.
Apply to the Datorama Partner Certification program >
EnrollmentOnce your Datorama Partner Account Manager (PAM) confirms your enrollment in the partner certification program, they will connect you with the Partner Practice Development (PPD) lead to sign up The online certification consists of three modules, which take 40-60 hours in total: Specialist Admin, Expert Admin, and Partners. To attend Bootcamp, all attendees need to have completed and passed at 75% for all three online certification modules before registering, otherwise they will not be able to secure seats. As such, please keep that in mind when planning your certification timeline.
About the BootcampOur in-person Bootcamp is a restricted 4-day course available to select partners only, as there are limited spaces available. This classroom training covers everything you need to know to successfully implement Datorama projects -- from project management tools to solution design, and use case exercises led by our expert training team.
During the Bootcamp you will be briefed on the mock simulation, which is a virtual implementation of a Datorama project. You will work with your team (one Project Manager and one Solution Architect) or be paired up with other attendees, if needed. This will simulate a client project from start to finish, and will require a set of deliverables and calls with our training team to ask questions and ultimately present your work. The mock simulation is scheduled over six weeks, giving you time to meet with your team and work on your deliverables. Attendance is required all four days to become certified, so please plan accordingly.

Building Apps in Datorama
Q: I want to build an app on Datorama. Where do I start?
A: You must first become a Datorama Partner. First, send an email to the Datorama ISV Partners team. From there, the Datorama Partnership team will get back to you and assign you a Partner Manager, who will then guide you through the rest of the process.
Email the Datorama ISV Partner team >
Q: What type of development work is possible as a partner?
A: Datorama apps are single-page web applications that are hosted and run inside the Datorama platform. Partners can build rich web applications that use the Datorama JS SDK and interact with the Datorama platform and query AP. Datorama hosts and serves the static resources of these web applications (e.g. HTML, CSS, JS, image, fonts). If a partner wants its own server side, they can integrate the app with that as well and host the server elsewhere.
Q: What is the dev environment to create apps? What kinds of skills do you need?
A: You can use any IDE to build the app e.g. IntelliJ, WebStorm, Atom, VSCode, Eclipse. Apps can be built in JavaScript, or with a framework such as React, Angular, Ember, Vue etc. If you’re a web developer with experience in HTML/CSS/JavaScript, then you can build an app. Our recommendation is to build apps with React, as this is the stack Datorama uses for its in-house apps.
Q: Once the solution is built, will it be available on AppExchange?
A: Yes, apps can be listed on Appexchange. However, may choose whether you'd like your solution to be available to specific accounts only. If so, it will not be made public on AppExchange.
The Datorama Certification Program
Q: How do I become a Datorama certified partner?
A: Due to the high level of governance we have over Datorama partners and their implementations, we have created an entry into the program based on the following criteria:
- 1. Leads - Salesforce partners who can bring solid, qualified opportunities
- 2. Execution - The ability to resource, deliver, and implement our platform
- 3. Cross Cloud Ability - Salesforce partners who have successfully implemented cross-cloud projects (i.e Marketing, DMP, and/or B2C Commerce)
- 4. Requires a current Salesforce System Integrator Professional Services Agreement (SI- PSA) for Datorama Expert Services, who will provide you technical support on the first three implementations to ensure success
Please note that filling out the partner submission form does not guarantee admittance into our partner certification program. Due to the high level of requests, we will reach out after reviewing your information when there is capacity for new partners.
Q: How can I register for Bootcamp?
A: Bootcamp registration is managed by your Partner Account Manager (PAM) and the Partner Practice Development (PPD) team for partners who have completed all their online certifications only, as places are limited. Please keep in mind that completing all online certifications is required to be able to register for Bootcamp. Partners and attendees who haven’t completed them will not be able to register. As such, we highly recommend keeping this in mind when planning your certification timeline and getting a head start on the online certifications as soon as possible.
Q: How do we identify the right candidates to go through the Datorama certification?
A: is important that you select the right candidates to go through the Datorama Certification Program, as it is challenging and time-intensive. The Project Manager should have previous experience and understand BI & digital marketing. As for the Solution Architect, since they will be the one doing the actual implementation work, they will require a technical background.
Review role requirements to become certified >
Q: I am a Datorama certified partner - now what?
A: After receiving your Datorama certification, the first three implementations for newly certified partners must be done in conjunction with our Expert Services team. This is to ensure that you have sufficient support to successfully deliver your first client projects. All certified partners need to run scoping by our Expert Services team, so make sure to get in touch with our team.
Q: &nsp; How do I stay up-to-date on new product releases and features after being certified?
A: We host a monthly Partner Webinar Series to keep our current partners up to date and continuously educate them on the Datorama platform, product releases and new features. The webinar series is only available for partners who are already certified. Previous webinar recordings can also be viewed in the Datorama for Partners collaboration group in the Partner Community.
Check out the Datorama for Partners collaboration group >
Q: Who can I reach out to if I have additional questions about the certification process?
A: Post questions in the Datorama For Partners collaboration group for a quick response >
Email the AMER & LATAM team here >
Email the EMEA & APAC team here >
Questions? Post in the Datorama for Partners collaboraton group >
