Get Started on the Partner Community
We appreciate your interest in joining our Salesforce partner ecosystem. Review this page to learn how to sign up for the Partner Community, as well as tips on how to take advantage of this helpful resource.
Please note that before you sign up for the Partner Community, you must have your own Salesforce login to establish single sign-on. We do not provide login credentials. If you need login credentials, you can sign up for a free Salesforce Developer Edition org. Once your own Salesforce org login is created, you can use the username and password from that org as credentials to sign up for the Partner Community.
Keep in mind, for Consulting partners it can take up to 30 business days for compliance review beforing receiving access to the Partner Community. In the interim, feel free to browse the public portions of the Partner Community site which include the Education and News & Events sections.

Are you a Commerce Cloud Partner?
If someone from your company has already signed up for the Partner Community, please select "My Company is Already a Partner” " when signing up per the tutorial in the Media section of this page. If you are a new Commerce Cloud Partner, please follow the steps below.
SIGNING UP
- We understand that many prospective Salesforce partners have existing Salesforce accounts. This is often due to your customer relationship with us, or perhaps a developer edition of Salesforce that you have spun up previously. Nevertheless, you should avoid using existing credentials during the partner sign up process. That being said, please make sure you click the “Get a Salesforce User Name” when signing up for the Partner Community.
- Once you have org credentials, there are 2 options to complete the signup wizard:
- New Partners
- - You are the first person from your company to sign up, so a new partner account needs to be created
- Existing Partner
- - Someone from your company has already signed up, and you are an established partner (Search for your company on AppExchange to see if you are an existing partner)
If you complete the steps outlined in the tutorial and are still unable to proceed, contact your company administrator, or email us with your company name, company email address, the error message you are receiving, and a screenshot if possible.
CONSULTING PARTNERS
Having trouble loggin into the Partner Community? Your organization's Partner Community access might have been disabled for one of the following reasons:
- 1. The certification requirement has not been met:
- To officially qualify for Registered Tier and maintain your partnership, partners need a minimum of 1 individual (holding 2 or more certifications) or a minimum of 2 individuals (holding at least 1 certification each)
Before contacting us, please ensure that all certified professionals are properly linked to your firm
- 2. Your annual program fee ourchase order (PO) has not been signed and returned Each year all Consulting Partners are required to re-enroll in the current year’s program. If your firm wants to be re-enrolled in the current year’s Consulting Program please email us and request a copy of the PO that must be signed and returned
- 3. Due diligence requirement has not been met
- As a pre-condition to any business relationship between Salesforce and your company, the Due Diligence Questionnaire and Compliance Certification must be completed, which are standard and important steps in Salesforce's due diligence process. If your firm has not been through this process in the past 2 years you will be required to submit completed documentation before your Program Fee PO can be processed.
If you feel that you have been deactivated in error or don't identify with any of the scenarios above, and would like our team to investigate further, please email us with your specific details.
ISV PARTNERS
- Once you've verified your account and set up a password, you'll be logged into an Enterprise Edition of Salesforce. This is what we refer to as your Partner Business Org (PBO) and this will only be created for you if you used the “Get a Salesforce Username” option earlier in the process.
- Please note, the Partner Business Org is a full-fledged Enterprise Edition of Salesforce with 2 free licenses for our partners. The org has a lifetime of 12 months and is automatically deactivated after this period, unless you make it permanent or extend it. Note that the deactivation will also revoke your partner community login. Once a contract has been signed, please raise a case within the partner community to have the org made permanent. If you need more than 12 months, please raise a case to extend the lifetime of the org. After signing a contract with Salesforce, ISVs who have their own existing orgs will be able to raise a case within the partner community in order to merge the ISV tools with their own orgs, up until that point, the new PBO should be used.

ISV PARTNERS
Q: Why do I need a Salesforce org to access the Partner Community? Can you send me a login?
A: No. You must establish single sign-on with your own Salesforce login credentials. You can get a free Salesforce Developer Edition org if you don't have a Salesforce login.
Get a free Salesforce Developer Edition org >
Q: Does each person at my company need to sign up to be a partner?
A: No. Your company should only register their partnership with Salesforce once. This will ensure that your partner account is properly handled and that all of your users are tied to the correct account. Note that all users from your company do not have to sign in from the same org. Everyone will be connected to your partner account regardless of the org used.
Q: I heard about a Salesforce Partner Program Agreement. What does this mean for me?
A: The legal terms that all partners must agree to will be presented during the Partner Community signup wizard. Each partner account is required to agree to these terms annually, even if you have agreed in the past. New partners signing up for the program will also need to agree before submitting their application to join. Make sure you have someone at your company ready to accept these terms. All users from your company will be prevented from accessing the Partner Community until the new terms are accepted for your company.
Learn more about the Salesforce Partner Program Agreement here >
Q: Does each person from my company need to agree to the Salesforce Partner Program Agreement?
A: No. The agreement is on a per-company basis. Each person does not need to agree. The terms will continue to be presented to all users until the person who is authorized to accept for your company does so. Once an agreement is recorded for your company, no one will see it again. Keep in mind, the Salesforce Partner Program Agreement is an annual process.
Q: What type of Salesforce credentials can I use to get access to the Partner Community?
A: To access the Partner Community, we recommend signing up for a free Salesforce org. A free Developer Edition org is preferred over a trial org (even though a temporary trial org will work). If you use a trial org, note that it will expire at some point and you will lose access to the Partner Community if the org is not upgraded. Keep in mind that you cannot use sandbox org credentials.
Q: What should I do if I have multiple Salesforce usernames?
A: o access the Partner Community, we recommend using the Salesforce username that you use most often in your day-to-day work. All types of Salesforce orgs can be used, other than sandboxes. This includes any CRM edition org, Developer Edition org, or trial or credentials. If you do not have a Salesforce org, we recommend using a free Developer Edition account. Keep in mind that some domain names will no longer be allowed as Usernames. The excluded domains include @partneracademy, @partnertraining, @sso.salesforce.com, @guest.salesforce.com and @partnerforce.com. Any partner attempting to use these domains will receive an error message.
Q: Only a few people at my company have Salesforce credentials for our CRM org. How do my other employees access the Partner Community?
A: When your designated Partner Community administrator(s) invites your other employees, they can log in with their Salesforce credentials (this includes any CRM edition org, free Developer Edition org, or trial org credentials). Then, they can use those credentials when they accept their invitation and they will be properly associated to your partner account.
Q: I am the Partner Community administrator. How can I invite my other employees to the Partner Community?
A: Invite your other employees to the Partner Community on the User Management page. Select "Invite User," enter their email address, and assign any additional permissions you want them to have. If you do not see the "Manage Users" tab at the top of your screen, it means you do not have admin permissions. To request the "Manage Users" permission, navigate to your community profile (top right on your screen - look for your picture), select 'My Profile' then 'Partner Community Access' (drop-down menu). From there you can see your current permissions, and request new perms.
Q: When I invite my employees to join the Partner Community, they aren't receiving the invite and/or it is bouncing back to my email. Why is this happening?
A: This might be because they haven't allowed our IP's and their mail server is blocking the invite.
Ask your users to follow these instructions to allow our IP's >
Q: I successfully signed up for the Partner Community, but haven't received an email confirmation. Did I do something wrong?
A: No. It can take up to 5-8 business days to process your application. If your access to the Partner Community is approved, you will receive an email with the subject line "Welcome to the Salesforce Partner Community," with information about your partnership, the resources available to you in the Partner Community, and login details.
