Consent Compliance Requirement for Lead & Project Submission

Protecting the privacy and confidentiality of our customers’ and partners’ personal data, and by extension, that of their customers is the core of Salesforce’s #1 value: *Trust*.
As part of this commitment, Salesforce needs to make sure to be compliant with applicable global privacy and marketing laws and to respect individuals’ communication preferences.
In keeping with this, we have reviewed the Lead and Project submission process, to ensure personal details are shared only with individuals’ consent.

- A field on *Lead* and *Project* *submission forms*, asks you as our Partner to indicate consent was obtained from the person whose personal data are being shared.

- A Lead or Project cannot be submitted without confirming customer consent.

- Every time personal details are added or edited to a Lead or Project, customer consent needs to be confirmed.


Partners need to store evidence of the consent they obtained from the individual whose details are being shared and provide such evidence upon Salesforce’s request.
We encourage our Partners to share a link to our Privacy Statement (https://www.salesforce.com/company/privacy/full_privacy/) with the individual whose data is being shared with Salesforce.
