Celebrating How our Partners Lead

Social Responsibility at Salesforce and across the Partner Ecosystem

At Salesforce, we believe that we can enable, collectively as an ecosystem, the most change possible in our communities and that many of our partners are already leading the way to create this impact. We believe that our partners align to our point of view that doing good and doing well go hand in hand and that our partners have a strong set of social values at the core of their organizations.

This year, we have adapted our partner program to include a measurable equality initiative on which all our partner firms will be scored.  We are introducing the Lead Pillar focused on Equality and Sustainable Development as the fourth pillar in our Partner Program.  The Lead initiative helps us understand the impact our partners are making, grow our impact together, and measure the Ecosystem’s change across our communities. The Lead initiative also is about recognizing and inspiring our partners’ strong social values which in turn converts shared prospects into customers and our shared customers into allies & evangelists.

The Salesforce Partner Program Trailblazer Score measures a partner's contribution against Salesforce-set targets across four main categories: Customer Success, Innovation, Growth, and Lead. As partners earn more points, they advance in levels and earn incremental programmatic benefits.

Sustainable Development and building towards a sustainable future for all is an important cause at Salesforce. The United Nations (UN) started a global movement towards a better and more sustainable world represented by 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs). Their goal is to make significant progress in solving these problems over the next 10 years through 2030. Each goal takes on a different world challenge including poverty, hunger, education, and quality of life. It will take the global community working together to tackle these significant challenges. Salesforce, along with other members of the global community, have joined the UN Global Compact to help tackle these challenges. Thus far, we have made huge strides with donations of over $90M to public schools and investing over $12M to close the pay gap. With our partners, there is a lot we can do to make an even greater impact.

Equality is one of our most important values at Salesforce. We believe that businesses can be powerful platforms for social change and it is our responsibility to further equality for all groups. Creating a culture of equality isn't just the right thing to do, it's the smart thing - empowering each of us to innovate, build deeper connections with customers, and to become better organizations. Working together with our partners, we strive to create an ecosystem that reflects the diverse communities we serve and where everyone feels empowered to bring their full, authentic selves to work.

The introduction of the Lead Pillar in the Partner Program is the first step of a larger journey we are on with our entire Partner Ecosystem to inspire each other to lead the next phase of corporate social responsibility. As the first step of the journey, we want to use data to understand our starting point, so that from there we can learn, grow, and measure our collective ecosystem change.

Recognizing Partner Impact
We want to recognize partners who are doing amazing work to drive equality and sustainable development impact across their organizations. Partners have the chance to earn up to 175 points in the Lead Pillar with 125 of the points available through Equality and 50 of the points available through Sustainable Development that can be applied to their overall Partner Trailblazer Score.
