Consulting Partners, Join the Partner Community!

Join the Partner Community as an Employee of an Existing Consulting Partner

As a Consulting Partner joining the Partner Community, you'll be presented with one of two scenarios (below).

SCENARIO #1: 

  • You don't know the Partner Community administrator for your company.
  • You have not received an email inviting you to join the Partner Community.
  • You know your Salesforce credentials provided by your Company (e.g. Salesforce username: name@yourcompanydomain.com and email: name@yourcompanydomain.com). 
  • Or, your Salesforce username contains your company domain. If not, follow Scenario #2. 

SCENARIO #2:

  • You know the Salesforce Partner Community administrator(s) from your company.
  • You confirmed with your administrator(s) that you need to create a Salesforce username to access the Partner Community. 

Steps for SCENARIO #1


1) Go to http://partners.salesforce.com/

2) Click “Join Now”.

3) Click, “Join the Partner Community”.

4) Click “Log In with Salesforce”.

5) Enter your Salesforce credentials provided to you by your company (e.g. name@yourcompanydomain.com). If your company requires you to use a SSO, please follow the steps of your company's SSO log in process. 
  1. Go to login.salesforce.com and select "Use Custom Domain". 
  2. Enter the Custom Domain URL provided by your Salesforce Administrator. 
  3. Enter your SSO network ID and password.
  4. Then, click "Continue".

6) Select “My Company is Already a Partner”.

7. You may be presented with one of two scenarios:

A. An email is sent to your Partner Community administrator(s). 

Note: if you don't receive the email, check your spam or check with your admin. Keep in mind, the email invitation expires 24 hours after you receive it. If you need another invitation, please contact your admin.

B. You encounter the error message below. This means that your signup request is in the process of being reviewed.

8) Once access is granted, you'll see this screen. Log in!

Steps for SCENARIO #2


1) Create a free Developer org here. We recommend creating a username matching both your company's domain and company email address (e.g. username@companydomain.com). Be sure to also use your company email address to sign up. If you encounter an error with the username, create a more unique username with your company domain (e.g. moreuniqueusername@company.com). 

2) Follow up with your administrator to invite you to the Partner Community (follow step 7 in Scenario #1 above). Otherwise, follow steps 1-5 in Scenario #1.


Lastly, don't forget to link your Trailhead badges and Certifications to your Partner Community profile!

1. Log in to the Partner Community.
2. Go here and select "Edit". 
3. Scroll down to the "Salesforce Certifications & Trailhead Badges" section, and click "Connect Certification Account" or "Connect Trailhead Account". 

Note:For information about signing up for a Trailhead account, check out this blog. To sign up fo a Trailhead account, click the green "Sign Up" button at http://trailhead.salesforce.com/

Keep in mind, don't lose access to your Trailhead account (if you change companies) by connecting a social account to your Trailhead profile. 
  • Log into your Trailhead account and select "Profile & Settings".
  • Scroll down to "Social Login" and select your social account to connect.
  • Follow the steps to verify your social account.  
  • Make sure you update your Trailhead profile to reflect the fields “Relationship to Salesforce” to “Partner".
4. Enter the email address associated with the account that you use to complete Trailhead challenges or Salesforce certifications.
5. Click "Connect Account". We’ll send you an email with a verification code. If you don’t receive the email, check your spam folder or request a new code.
6. After you get the email, go back to the "Work & Experience" section of your Partner Community profile.
7. Enter the verification code, and then click "Complete Connection".
8. Verify your information is correct in the "Country" field.
9. Scroll to the bottom of the page, and then click "Save Changes".
