Salesforce typically has 3 major releases a year. Check this page frequently during a release cycle. New information is added as it becomes available. During a release cycle, partners should be conducting regression testing on a pre-release org to ensure a seamless upgrade.

Q: Should I be using a Pre-Release org, or a Sandbox org for regression testing?
A: Given recent changes to our pre-release process, it is now a best practice to use pre-release environments rather than Sandbox orgs for regression testing. Read this blog post for more details.
A: It is not required, but is highly recommended to ensure your app (and the installation of your app) are working correctly for your customers prior to a major release.
Q: When I sign up using the Partner Pre-Release form, does that provide me with a Developer Edition (DE) org that doesn't expire?
A: Yes! Provided that your org has not already expired, after you sign up for the first time, your Developer Edition (DE) org will automatically be upgraded to the upcoming release.
A: Assets and resources are added as they become available. Typically, the Pre-Release process comes first, followed by the Release Notes, then the Developer Resources. It usually takes several weeks for all of the resources to become available. Check this page frequently during a release cycle to see the latest.
