The Essentials Partner Referral Program helps partners grow their Salesforce practice with Essentials, a powerful sales and customer support app specifically designed for small businesses.

Essentials Partner Referral Program Overview
Summary
- - The Essentials Partner Referral Program is only available to existing consulting partners in good standing.
- - No manual lead submission needed. Once you apply and are approved, you will receive your official referral link to use in your marketing channels. Your customers use this to activate their free 14-day trial of Essentials. Once they purchase, the sale is tracked back to you.
- - You will receive a one-time referral fee for every new Salesforce Essentials subscription purchased (10% for monthly subscriptions; 20% for annual subscriptions). Renewals and add-on licenses do not apply.
- - This program is meant to help you increase demand generation and win customers at an early stage. Our team is here to help you bring the power of Salesforce to small business!

Q: How does the Essentials Partner Referral Program work?
A: Please visit sfdc.co/eprp to apply. A member of the Essentials team will reach out in 1-2 business days with your unique trial form to start sharing with your customers and prospects. You DO NOT need to manually submit your leads through the Partner Community. With your unique link, we will be able to track converted customers back to you and pay you for all your hard work.
Q: Is this referral program open to all partners?
A: The Essentials Partner Referral Program is currently available to all consulting partners in good standing. We will extend it to ISVs in the future.
Q: How is this different from the existing referral program?
A: The Essentials Partner Referral Program is an extension of the existing referral program and specifically for partners who are motivated to sell into SMBs and make them successful with the Salesforce Essentials product. We have special pricing that's different from the current program: up to 20% in both mature and growth markets with no excluded countries. New subscriptions only (not add-ons or renewals).
Q: What are the additional requirements to become an Essentials Referral Partner?
A: As an existing consulting partner, no additional requirements are required. However, we recommend reviewing the materials on this page to become well-versed in Salesforce Essentials.
Q: Do I need to have a wide SMB reach to participate?
A: While that would be ideal, it's not a requirement. Whether you already have an existing SMB customer base that could benefit from Essentials, or you want to use Essentials as a demand gen source for your practice, we're on this journey with you.
Q: How do I receive referral payouts?
A:You will receive a one-time referral fee for every new Salesforce Essentials subscription purchased (10% for monthly subscriptions; 20% for annual subscriptions). Payouts will be issued monthly (Net 45). We do not pay referral fees for renewals or add-on licenses.
Q: Where can I see who signed up via my own referral link?
A: That's a great question! We are working on this functionality, but for now the Salesforce Essentials team will run monthly reporting on partner sourced new Essentials opportunities and issue payment if it meets program criteria. If you have questions regarding payout, please submit a case through the Partner Community.
Q: Do I need to manually submit Salesforce Essentials leads?
A: No. We will provide you with a link to a unique trial form that you can market on your website, in emails, or any of your other marketing efforts. Customers can then click that link to visit your unique trial form and sign up for a Salesforce Essentials trial on their own. Please do not submit Salesforce Essentials leads through the standard lead submission form.
Q: Can I provide implementation services to Essentials customers?
A: While Essentials is meant to be self-service and easy for customers to set up on their own, you are welcome to create a Quickstart package to provide services to those that may need them.
Q: Is there a limit on the number of licenses an Essentials customer can buy?
A: Yes, Essentials customers can purchase up to 10 licenses. If they need more than 10, they will have to upgrade to higher editions.
