Now more than ever, companies and governments are moving to an all-digital work-from-anywhere world. Slack Connect extends the benefits of Slack to enable communication and collaboration between a company's employees and all its external partners, from vendors to customers.
Together, Salesforce and Slack will give companies a single source of truth for their business and a unified platform for connecting employees, customers and partners with each other and the apps they use every day, all within their existing workflows.
What This Means For Partners:
Salesforce’s acquisition of Slack offers our AppExchange ISVs and Consulting Partners an incredible opportunity to further revolutionize how customers work. We are incredibly excited to deliver a more integrated Slack-First Customer 360 Platform, giving partners the opportunity to drive even greater customer success through Slack-First experiences. The Salesforce partner ecosystem will be critical in bringing this vision to life. As is customary with an acquisition of this size, we are taking a phased approach to integrating our companies and respective partner programs. Salesforce Consulting Partners
If you are a Salesforce Consulting Partner, the potential in market opportunity and impact you have with Slack is incredible. We currently see the Slack Consulting Partner value proposition in three segments:
- 1. Slack Implementations: Slack implementations increase enterprise productivity through a new way of working: a reduction in both email and meetings with an integration of key tools & data.
- 2. Slack-First Customer 360: Slack transforms how customers use their business applications and data to bring context into decision-making and reach decisions faster.
- 3. Organizational Transformation: Slack is the change agent that enables today’s Event Driven Enterprise: the modern digital business that is always sensing, always ready, and always learning.
The Slack Consulting Partner Program
Slack currently has a Consulting partner program called the Services Partner Program with a small, but growing list of Consulting partners enrolled. At Close, the Slack Services Partner program will remain separate until we fully integrate the programs into the Salesforce Consulting Partner Program (estimated by end of FY22). If you are already engaged with the Slack Alliances team, please continue to do so. If you haven’t already and are interested in getting a head start before the programs are integrated, reach out to your Salesforce Partner Account Manager (PAM) for more details.

Slack has a robust ecosystem of ISV Partners who build applications that integrate with the Slack Platform. At the moment, our two ISV Partner Programs and app marketplaces will continue to remain separate as we assess how the programs may align and come together in the future.
