What Do Partners Need to Know About

If you’ve visited Trailhead recently, you may have noticed a few changes: you have more login options, a revamped tool for merging duplicate accounts, and a new personalized profile link. All those changes are powered by, a new and simpler way to manage your Salesforce identity. With a account, you can access sites throughout the Salesforce ecosystem with a single login and manage your settings from one profile.

Today, extends to even more places in the ecosystem, including AppExchange and the Trailblazer Community. We’re especially excited to have AppExchange join the family, and we’re working hard to bring full support for to the Partner Community. In the near term, we’d like tell you a little about how changes your Partner Community experience. Here’s what you need to know.

Does change how I log in to the Partner Community?
No. To access the Partner Community, you’ll provide the same login credentials that you use today.

Does change how I manage details on my Partner Community profile, such as my name and job title?
Possibly. Depending on when you joined the Partner Community and which accounts were merged when you set up your profile, some profile details are now shared with your account. The easiest way to check is to look at your Partner Community profile. Here’s how:
  1. 1. In the Partner Community page header, click your profile icon, and then select My Profile.
  2. 2. Click Edit.
If your profile shares details with, we indicate that in the Edit Profile user interface (1). To edit those details, click Go to You’ll be redirected to your account to make the changes. After you save, the changes are synced to the Partner Community.

If your profile doesn’t share details with a account, the Edit Profile user interface looks the same as before (2). You edit all your profile details in the Partner Community.

Can I share my profile with the rest of the Partner Community?
Absolutely! Your profile is the best way to show off Salesforce skills, accomplishments, and experience. If you have a account, add your personalized profile link to your Partner Community profile. Here’s how.
  1. 1. In the Partner Community page header, click your profile icon, and then select My Profile.
  2. 2. Click Edit.
  3. 3. Go to the section.
  4. 4. Select the checkbox next to Show my profile link on my Partner Community profile. If your profile URL isn’t pre-populated, add yours.
  5. 5. Click Save.

How else does affect my Partner Community profile?
Your activity on AppExchange and the Trailblazer Community, such as the ideas you posted on IdeaExchange, now appear on your profile. Previously, this activity was displayed on your Partner Community profile.

If any of your activity is missing from your profile, please contact Trailhead Support by submitting a case and selecting Trailhead/Certification Account.

Can I still link Trailhead badges and certifications to my Partner Community profile?
