Meet the Marketplace Analytics Dashboard

These days, data is a routine part of decision-making. This morning, you may have used your phone's mapping app to find the fastest route to work. Or you may have checked price trends on a travel site to score the best deal on a flight. From travel to online shopping, it's second nature to check the data.

For businesses, data is much more than a nice-to-have. It's essential. That's why we're excited to preview some big changes coming soon to the AppExchange analytics experience. Introducing the Marketplace Analytics dashboard.

More Data, More Flexibility—More Everything

The Partner Analytics dashboard has more of everything you care about. Compared to today's analytics experience, this means:
  • More metrics. Today's analytics experience gives you a good picture of how customers interact with your listing once they've arrived. But what about all the stuff that happens before customers visit? We've added new metrics to help answer that question. To start, we now provide metrics when a customer views or hovers over your listing tile while searching or browsing. We also show the top AppExchange search terms that bring customers to your listing and match those terms to leads, installs, and other activities.
  • More traffic sources. Today's analytics experience lets you associate listing visits with SEO Searches (traffic from external search engines) and Internal Searches (traffic from AppExchange's search bar). In the dashboard, we've widened that focus. External sources now include traffic from Facebook and Google. Internal sources now include traffic from AppExchange's featured solutions areas, store categories, and intelligent recommendations. Even better, we've expanded attribution to connect all those sources with more activities, like test drives and demos.
  • More filter options. Data filtering in today's analytics experience is limited to fixed time periods, such as the last 30 days. In the dashboard, you'll get a lot more flexibility. There are now business-friendly month-to-date, quarter-to-date, and year-to-date options. If you need even more control, you can define a custom time period.

All-New UI, Powered by Einstein Analytics

More data is great, but you also need a user interface that makes things easy to use and understand. So we gave the dashboard a brand new UI, powered by Einstein Analytics.

User-added image

At the top of the dashboard, you'll find the activity summary. The activity summary gives you an overview of your listing's most important metrics, like leads and installs. Each metric includes a trend indicator (1) that tells you how the metric has changed relative to historical data for the selected time period (2).

Below the activity summary, you'll find visualizations for exploring your data in depth. Here, you're getting a sneak peek of the Activity Source Timeline, which shows how traffic sources contribute to listing activity over time. Dropdown lists let you quickly switch between activities (1) and (if applicable) adjust the scale of the time period (2).

The dashboard also incorporates some popular features from Salesforce's CRM products. To help your newest team members get up to speed, we built a walkthrough that provides an interactive tour of the dashboard. There's also an integrated feedback tool that makes it easy to send us your comments and suggestions.
